Thor rider Max Nagl made an impressive showing in the MXGP of Argentina, claiming third overall. In race 1 Nagl had a great jump out of the gate and was on Antonio Cairoli’s rear tire for the first few corners of the race. Nagl had great speed and pushed ahead to take the lead, where he didn’t waste any time distancing himself from his competitors. Nagl maintained the lead all the way to the checkered flag for the win in moto 1. Nagl got another great start in moto 2, but a small mistake in the first corner pushed him back to sixth place. After a great battle with Romain Febvre and Jeremy Van Horebeke, the German fought back to fifth, resulting in a third overall for the weekend.
Nagl’s teammate Christophe Charlier continued to show signs of progress at the GP of Argentina. Steadily getting back to full fitness after his pre-season injury the Frenchman rode two strong motos to finish 12th and 10th respectively.
Clement Desalle raced to a top ten finish in Argentina as he recovers from his early season injuries.
