Max Nagl continues his MXGP Championship hunt with fever as he claims yet another podium in Mexico.
Max Nagl was a rocket on the starting gate, claiming hole shots in both motos of the weekend. Holding on to fourth for the most part of the opening race, the German made a late charge that allowed him to pass Evgeny Bobryshev for an eventual third position at the checkered flag. Finding himself in third early on in moto two, Nagl went on to round out the GP of Mexico with another third place finish.
Teammate Christophe Charlier had a fall during Saturday’s qualifying race that almost meant the end of his Mexican GP. Managing to put the crash behind him the Frenchman came back strong on Sunday to collect 13th, enough for a 12th place overall.
Still on the road to recovery from pre-season injuries, Clement Desalle made big gains this weekend with a fifth place finish overall in Mexico.
