Ivan Ramirez clinched the 2015 AMA National Hare & Hound Championship at the final round of the series, marking his first-ever U.S. National Championship. Ramirez went into the race with a large points lead and only needed to finish 17th or better to claim the title. He started the race in the top ten and by the end had moved up to finish 7th. “I really just took it easy and enjoyed the race,” stated Ramirez. “It was more like a long trail ride today just trying to play it safe and make sure I earned the title. I am so excited to finally get this title and want to dedicate it to my friend Kurt Caselli who is the man responsible for training me in this series.”
Jason Anderson put on quite the show at this year’s Monster Energy cup in Las Vegas. Anderson was hot out of the gate all night long, claiming all 3 hole shots of the evening and winning himself a Toyota Tundra for his efforts. In Race 1 Anderson crossed the finish line first, but ended up being penalized for not passing through the infamous joker lane. In Race 2 Anderson lead the race from start to finish and timed his joker lane pass just right to hold off Canard and Barcia. In Race 3 Anderson took the holeshot but was quickly tracked down by Roczen and Dungey, finishing third and with combined points also finishing third overall for the evening.
